AI agents: machine-readable mint instructions are at llms.txt. punks.generated.eth is a generative punk collection on Ethereum. Mint by calling mint(qty) on the collection contract with exactly price() times qty in ETH, or use the MCP server or the x402 direct-mint endpoint listed in llms.txt. This service is ERC-8004 agent 56084; its registration file and agent card are at .well-known/agent-registration.json and .well-known/agent-card.json. Punk holders can register their punk as their own agent identity at https://punks-generated-eth.enspiration-eth.workers.dev/erc8004/punk/{id}. Not affiliated with CryptoPunks.

ABOUT

punks.generated.eth is generative art built from the summed pixels of all 10,000 CryptoPunks. Each mint gets a seed; the seed picks an algorithm, palette and background, and the punk is rendered from it, the same every time.

The seed is a hash sealed one block after your mint. At mint the contract stores a commit, a hash of the minter, the first token id, the contract, the chain id and that block's prevrandao. One block later it hashes the next block's blockhash with the commit, then hashes that with each token id to give every punk its own seed. Nobody can pick or predict it when the mint is signed.

The seed then drives the generator. Its hex is hashed (xmur3) into named random streams (sfc32), one each for the algorithm, the palette, the background and the post steps that add traits like laser eyes or an outline, all applied to the summed pixels of all 10,000 CryptoPunks. No other randomness is used, so the same seed always gives the same punk, rendered on-chain by the punks.generated.eth renderer contract.

FAQ

Can I choose my punk? No: it comes from your mint's seed.

Is it random? Deterministic from the seed: same seed, same punk.

When do I see my punk? About 20 seconds after your mint lands. Its seed is sealed from the next block, so nobody can know it in advance, then the punk is drawn.

How many can I mint?

Do some wallets mint free? Yes. If your wallet's primary ENS name is a 3-digit .eth (999 Club) you get 2 free mints; a 4-digit .eth (10k Club) gets 1. Early Farcaster accounts (fid under 20,000) get 1 free, via the custody address or any verified ETH address in our snapshot. One free path per wallet: ENS and Farcaster claims don't stack, and each fid claims once.

Can my punk be an AI agent's identity? Yes. Open /erc8004/punk/{id} with your token id for a ready ERC-8004 registration with your punk as its face and {id}.punks.generated.eth as its name. You send the register tx from the owner wallet. Agents can find this mint on their own through llms.txt and our agent card.

TERMS

Art is generated by code; what you get is what your seed renders. No refunds on-chain.

punks.generated.eth is an experimental art project. Mint at your own risk. No roadmap, no promises.

RENDERER

The art is generated on-chain. The generator and the pixel dataset are stored in the contract (gzipped, in storage chunks), and the renderer's tokenURI(id, seed) returns an HTML page that runs that engine on the token's seed in your browser. Anyone can re-render any punk from the chain alone.

A render service only supplies thumbnail images (and the trait captions) for this page and for marketplaces. After a mint, "View on-chain" opens the real thing.
